- Job requirements are identified from workplace approved operating procedures
- Equipment components, adjustment points and controls are identified
- Operating procedures are checked to identify approved operating range and adjustments
- Equipment operations and production procedures are identified
- The process for obtaining materials and moving products to the next process is identified
- Plan and prepare for work
- Tools, equipment and materials are selected and checked prior to use to ensure that they are appropriate for the work, serviceable and in a safe condition
- Inspection procedure for material quality and equipment condition is identified
- Work sequence is planned to suit job
- Work health and safety (WHS) requirements, including ergonomic criteria and personal protection needs, are observed throughout the work
- Equipment emergency stops and guards are identified
- Machine checking procedures are identified
- Any required supplementary equipment is identified for routine lubrication and adjustments of the equipment
- Set and operate drop cutting machine
- Fabric length and angle of cut are set on the drop cutting machine following work order
- Fabric is fixed to the machine using appropriate hooks or other fasteners
- Fabric is checked for flaws prior to cutting
- Fabric use minimises waste materials
- Cutting operations provide the required product quality standards, work outputs and minimisation of waste
- Problems are identified and reported following workplace procedures
- Cut lengths are checked for required quality and moved to the next process
- Waste and scrap are dealt with following workplace procedures
- Equipment and work area clean-up are completed following workplace procedures
- Confirm quality requirements are met
